In the dissertation, the theoretical generalization has been carried out and new approach to improving the methodical preparation of prospective teachers of music in the educational process of pedagogical universities has been proposed, which has been specified in the designed, scientifically grounded and experimentally verified organizational-technological model of methodological preparation. The essence and content of the phenomenon of "methodical preparation of prospective teachers of music" are defined; the component structure on the principles of the praxeological approach is developed. The paradigm-conceptual model of the methodical activity of the teacher of music was developed; the pedagogical conditions for the formation of the methodical preparedness of prospective teachers of music were substantiated. The productivity and efficiency of organizational-technological model of formation of methodical preparedness of prospective teachers of music based on the praxeological approach were experimentally tested.
