The thesis considers the issues of improving the process of physical education at the military higher education institutions for the purpose of forming competencies of cadets as future officers in health and fitness activities - to ensure the effectiveness of their future professional activities as commanders and instructors of physical education courses. It was determined that the formation of the physical preparedness of cadets for future military professional activities can be achieved through the continuous functioning of the physical training system of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which is a part of the state system of physical education. It was found that kettlebell sport is one of modern and sufficiently effective means of physical training of cadets, which is able to increase the efficiency of their future professional activities. The established experiment confirmed the positive influence of kettlebell lifting activities on the level of physical fitness, morphofunctional development, health, intellectual work capacity and occupationally important psychological qualities. It was established the informatively significant components of general physical, functional and technical preparedness for training cadets in kettlebell sport. There were developed the concept and methodical system of kettlebell sport training of cadets in the process of physical education and four author's methods. The experimental verification of the effectiveness of the methodical system showed its more positive effect in comparison with the current system of physical training, in relation to improving the indicators of physical fitness, morphofunctional development, physical health, occupationally important psychological qualities, success of training, methodical preparedness and activity of cadets.
