Essay

The thesis is devoted to the study of the phenomenon of legal consciousness as an integrative element of the legal system. Based on the analysis of theoretical developments, the provisions of the current domestic and foreign legislation, generalization of practice, modern and historical experience, the solution of the problem of improving the legal system functioning through the use of the integrative potential of legal consciousness is made. The paper notes that the dominance of deformed sense of justice in society can negates all efforts to reform the legal system, as is now happening in Ukraine, which in recent decades is in a state of permanent crisis.
