Essay

The dissertation is devoted to conceptualization of interaction between society and education, development of generalizing concept of mutual variability and mutual influence of society and education, which, based on micro and makro-synthesis, reveals and explains the relatively stable relationships, which ensure sustained functioning of education system in the conditions of disequilibrium and high dynamics of modern society. The explanation is done through: 1) disclosure education as a social practice producing certain habitus (practice is a form of the institution of education, which determines its function); 2) identifying and studying the role of codes as micro-level latent components of social interaction, which, depending on their degree of complexity, provide the basis for a specific cognitive style and locus of control, and, at the same time, the habitus of some type. Thus, functioning of education in today's society involves its ability to support self-organizing social order, which is possible education practices means of influencing the codes, and therefore the formation of habitus of a certain type, which self-organization of society as social system requires.
