Prykaziuk N. Development of the insurance system of Ukraine.

The dissertation is devoted to solving an important scientific problem - the development of a modern concept of the insurance system of the state, theoretical and methodological foundations and practical recommendations for the development of the national insurance system under European economic integration of Ukraine in order to overcome the negative manifestations of risks and promote economic growth of the state. The essence of the insurance system as a phenomenon different from the insurance market is revealed, and the necessity of distinguishing the insurance system as an independent object of insurance science is proved. The properties of the insurance system are determined. Within the framework of justification of the hierarchical configuration of the insurance system, its decomposition has been performed by allocating subsystems under a number of features. The author’s approach to the facet classification of the insurance system is set forward, according to which the classified entity is modeled using 14 facets. The functional purpose of the insurance system in the state is identified, the role of the subjects of its basis and superstructure is outlined. Classification of insurance companies as the main subjects of the insurance system is improved, in part of supplementing it with the essential features from the standpoint of system analysis: dependencies; the origin of capital; significance for the insurance system. The relation between the concepts of «systemically important insurance companies» and «system-forming insurance companies» is justified.
