The essence and role of recreational territories in the system of balanced nature use are researched in the dissertation work. Conceptual provisions of the ecological-economic balance of recreational territories development are generalized and deepened. The scientific and methodological foundations of forming the system of management of recreational territories are substantiated. The methodical approach to complex estimation of resource potential of recreational territories is developed. An analysis of the current state and trends in the development of tourist and recreational activities in Ukraine are revealed. The directions of improvement of ecological-economic mechanism of development of recreational territories are determined. The theoretical and methodical approach to the functioning of the tools of ecological and economic mechanism of management of recreational territories is improved. Development scenarios and strategies for balancing recreational areas are developed and scientifically substantiated. A system of measures and directions for increasing the investment attractiveness of recreational territories have been developed. Directions of balanced development of tourism in recreational territories are offered.
