Kharchenko S. Syntactic norms of the Ukrainian literary language of the XX – the early XXI centuries: formation and codification.

The category of syntactic norm of the Ukrainian literary language has been holistically investigated for the first time in the dissertation. Topical issues of the investigation of syntactic norm are defined; the main stages in the development of syntactic phenomena are observed; these phenomena are assessed in the context of standardization and on the basis of new achievements of the theoretical linguistics and also depending on language practice and language policy. Categorical status of the literary language is justified; methodological principles of its qualification in the theoretical linguistics are analyzed, dynamic character of the Ukrainian language is stressed; the principles of evaluation of the language facts according to normative expediency and functions of literary language are determined.
