Essay

The theoretical-methodological, methodical and practical aspects of the regional landscape planning (rLP) concept as an important integrative constructive-geographical direction of the contemporary geography science, which directed to the actual nature use optimization, and approved on the regional level, are worked out. The ideas about the specificity of contemporary planning strategy as a key prerequisite for its implementation in Ukraine are shown by studying the outstanding national and international experience, the prominent planning traditions, and practices, well-known examples. The elaborated conceptual thesis’s of rLP as an important and specific scientific direction of the actual systems of nature use territorial structure improvement, creation and maintenance the valuable human’s habitat are set out. Introducing into scientific use the individual direction of the landscapeology – planning, is proposed. The purpose and task, the methodological basis of the landscape planning implementation at different scale-hierarchical levels, its principles, and methods are revealed. The original taxonomic landscape-planning units systems due to the scale-hierarchical levels are worked out; the criteria and key features of its detachment are grounded. The algorithmized model the practical use of the conceptual basis of rLP, methodical approaches the planning activities and region exploration for the purpose the planning documents creation are proposed.
