Essay

The thesis has formulated theoretical and methodological principles of constructive geography and received practical results that provided a possibility to uncover an important scientific-applied problem – existence of paradynamic coastal landscape systems as a form of landscape spatial organization by the example of the Azov Sea PDLS. The terminological basis of the scientific research is formulated. Approaches and methods for the determination of spatial features of the structure and functioning of the Azov Sea paradynamic landscape system are developed and tested. Geospatial features of its organization and hierarchical place are revealed. The boundaries of the Azov Sea PDLS are determined on the basis of the revealed system of tectogenic, climatogenic, hydrogenic and biogenic interactions. The causes of its internal structural-functional heterogeneity are analyzed, and the components of landscape complexes and morphofunctional differences between them are distinguished. The features and distribution patterns of natural, natural-anthropogenic and anthropogenic landscapes on the land, sea bottom and within the coastline are found. It is proved that the acquisition of unique characteristics of the Azov Sea PDLS is facilitated by bidirectionality of system-forming matter-energy flows. Natural, natural-anthropogenic and anthropogenic system-forming factors of the Azov Sea PDLS organization are revealed, affecting the dynamics of the processes at the border of contrast environments, where frontal strips of interaction with horizontal and vertical flows of matter, energy and information are formed. The unique features of the Azov Sea PDLS are revealed, caused by the versatility, complexity and uniqueness of contacts between natural and anthropogenic formations. The planned, implemented and current economic and scientific constructive projects within the borders of the Azov Sea PDLS are analyzed. The implementation of global experience through integrated management of natural resources in the Azov Sea coastal zone is proposed, taking into account natural peculiarities, traditional and specific types of use of natural resources. The legal, informational, and organizational-managerial elements of the successful management of the coastal zone, which should become the basis of the planning structure of the Azov Sea PDLS, are determined.
