Burda N. Scientific and theoretical approaches to the development and research on urologic and proctologic medicinal herbal products

The thesis is devoted to the complex phytochemical study of shiitake, maitake, reishi, cordyceps, birch polypore mushrooms, greater mullein herb and roots, caltrop herb, pink and white peony flowers, creation of theoretical and practical basis for their usage, development of medicinal herbal products, as well as standardization of the plant material and obtained medicinal products. The developed diuretic species was introduced into production by Privately held corporation “Lubnyfarm”, Lubny (registration certificate № UA 12957/01/01). A medicinal product, containing greater mullein herb thick extract, for the treatment of hemorrhoids was suggested, with further introduction into production by LLC «DKP “Pharm Factory”», Zhytomyr, which is confirmed by a relevant implementation act. A method of flavonoids’ assay in the suggested medicinal products for treatment of hemorrhoids was developed. The project of a monograph “Caltrop HerbN” for SPU 2.0 was developed.
