Essay

Political corruption as an informal political institution of destructive type is investigated. On the basis of the methodology of neo-institutionalism, the political-legal concept of political corruption іs formulated. Corruption practices in politics are considered in the dynamics of their emergence and functioning in a particular institutional environment. A model of political corruption as a system of unlawful, asocial actions and inaction in the field of politics іs designed. The institutional mechanisms of prevention and counteraction to political corruption are revealed.
