The dissertation is a theoretical and experimental study of the problem of formation of readiness of future teachers for self-improvement in the process of individualization of professional training. The thesis defines the essence of the concept of «professional self-improvement» as an active, systematic activity aimed at transforming a personality-professional potential in accordance with the requirements of pedagogical activity, mastering of the norms and rules of professional activity by future teachers, and developing of the ability to subordinate the self-education and self-development to the professional interests in the conditions of an individualized educational environment created in a higher education institution. The control and evaluation subsystem provides continuous monitoring, self-evaluation and correction of the process of forming the readiness of future teachers for self-improvement in the process of individualization of professional training according to certain criteria, indicators and levels: high, medium and low. The results of experimental verification of the proposed scientific and methodical system proved its effectiveness and the expediency of its introduction into the process of professional training of future teachers. The program-content and scientific-methodical support of the scientific-methodical system, which contains educational and methodical complexes, was developed: «Human Anatomy», «Developmental Physiology and valeology», «Physiology (higher nervous activity and development physiology)», «Anatomy and physiology of the child with the basics of genetics», «Fundamentals of anatomy and physiology of the nervous system», «Speech and sensor systems and their violation», «Physiology of higher nervous activity», «Psychophysiology», «Civil Defense», which contain educational and work programs, materials of lectures and practical classes, tasks for independent work, tasks for individual research, materials of current and final control. An author’s special course «Professional self-improvement of a teacher» was introduced in the educational process.
