Object – the process of formation and implementation of financial and economic mechanisms for the capitalization of water resources; the purpose is to develop and substantiate theoretical and methodological principles and practical recommendations for the financial provision of expanded reproduction of water capital and increase of the level of capitalization of water resources of Ukraine; methods – dialectical, axiomatic, abstract-logical, system analysis, induction and deduction, decomposition, swot-analysis, economic-mathematical, extrapolation and correlation, cartographic, modeling; results - developed algorithm of water capitalization, which provides for a set of measures for their identification as an economic asset, determining the areas of profitable use, a system of mechanisms for the infrastructure provision of water management projects realization and financing of water assets; mechanisms and tools for financial provision of expanded reproduction of water resource potential, as well as directions of diversification of investment sources for the implementation of water management and water protection projects; novelty – methodological approaches to the formation of the institutional environment for the activation of the mechanisms of water resources capitalization on the principles of harmonization of heterogeneous interests of the subjects of water management are proposed; implemented in economic practice.
