Essay

The dissertation presents a theoretical general conclusion and a new solution of the problem of improving the treatment results for patients with acute thrombosis of the vena cava inferior system by developing and introducing into clinical practice the concept of venous collector, magistral, kolateral with substantiation of the surgical thrombectomy methods for the prevention of pulmonary thromboembolism and chronic venous insufficiency phenomena depending on the quantity and level of lesion the venous collector and the type of thrombus. The analysis is made of results examination and operative treatment of 790 patients with various forms of acute thrombosis in the vena cava inferior system (VCI): I A group (n=380) – patients, having obtained the full or the partial thrombectomy with following surgical prophylaxis of pulmonary thromboembolism (PTE) or without it; I B group (n=50) – patients obtaining combined treatment with following surgical prophylaxis of pulmonary thromboembolism; I C group (n=125) – surgical treatment of transfascial thrombosis; the second group (n=235) – patients in which were prescribed only the conservative therapy. The statistic rationale is provided towards the advantage of surgical methods of treatment of deep vein thrombosis in the vena cava inferior system and the prophylaxis of venous thromboembolic complications in comparison with conservative treatment.
