Essay

The theoretical and experimental studies of the developed technology of spatial modeling of micro surfaces of research objects by their digital SEM images is presented in the thesis. On the basis of the general theory of the perspective-affine transformation, for three practical cases of SEM stereo imaging, formulas for the relationship of the spatial coordinates of the points of the micro surface of the object with the corresponding coordinates of the points of the SEM stereo pair were obtained. The paper presents the results of metric research of digital REM images obtained from 4 types of REMs of leading world firms in the range of magnifications (from 1000х to 30,000х). The technique of 3D-reconstruction and visualization of micro surface of research objects using the software package Surfer was applied. Studies tested the kinetics of fatigue fracture development of metal, its deformations under the influence of mechanical and thermal factors, and also the spatial microstructure of loess soils.
