The dissertation is devoted to the complex study of criminological problems and counteraction to transnational organized crime in Ukraine. The scientific problem of developing a holistic doctrinal approach to the formation of the concept of counteraction to transnational organized crime has been set and solved for the first time. This has given an opportunity to substantiate the proposals aimed at improving the legislation and practices of its application by law enforcement agencies of Ukraine. The present state of scientific researches is grounded and scientific approaches to the definition of transnational organized crime are substantiated. The evolution of globalization processes and the content of determinants that contribute to the criminalization inside of this social relations sphere are revealed. The structure and dynamics of crimes are characterized; the models of criminal gangs are outlined. The conceptual vision of ways to realize legal and organizational measures of counteraction on the national and special-criminological levels is offered.
