Virchenko V. Development of intellectual property in the global economic environment.

Thesis is dedicated to a complex solution of relevant scientific problem of development of theoretical and methodological foundations of research of the economic and legal nature, patterns, economic imperatives and contradictions of development of intellectual property in the global economic environment. Research of genesis of intellectual property has been conducted concerning definition of historical preconditions of origin of intellectual property relations in Western European countries within the XV cent. – XVII cent. and definition of the main stages of evolution of intellectual property in global economic environment. There has been improved foundations of structural and functional analysis of intellectual property regarding definition of main segments of its internal architectonics. The new concept of intellectual property, which is based on cross-disciplinary approach with application of methodological tools of new institutionalism is developed that allows to characterize the nature of intellectual property, discover its peculiarities and determine its place in the modern system of public reproduction. The intellectual property market is investigated as the supreme form of development of economic turnover of intellectual product, which reduces transactional costs of commercialization of intellectual property and integrates fields of intellectual activity and social production. Author proved that on key parameters it belongs to the markets of monopolistic competition. There has been improved theoretical foundations of a research of intellectual property commercialization regarding definition of its main functions in the system of social production, analysis of the role of intellectual property commercialization in expanded reproduction of intellectual capital, comparative analysis of forms of commercialization, peculiarities of accounting and taxation of economic transactions with intellectual property rights. The complex analysis of the innovative, conventional and complementary financial mechanisms allows to develop practical recommendations concerning the stimulation of innovation modernization and enhancement of competitiveness of national economy through development of national system of intellectual property commercialization.
