Polyakova Y. Innovative Principles of Increasing the Competitiveness of Ukraine’s Regions in the Process of European Integration

Object of research: the process of ensuring the competitiveness of Ukraine's regions in terms of European integration. Methods: historical and logical, analysis and synthesis, systematization and generalization, comparative analysis, main components, economic and mathematical modeling, grouping, taxonomic analysis, multifactorial comparative analysis, standardization of indicators, fuzzy logic, analysis of the efficiency of productive systems, system-dynamic modeling. Novelty: for the first time methodological provisions for assessing the innovative potential of the region's competitiveness, including the introduction of the concept of "innovative potential of competitiveness of the region" as a dominant factor of inclusive development are formulated, the conceptual foundations of strategic programming and institutional design of rational spatial and sectoral specialization of the regions are grounded with the outline of basic principles, theoretic-methodological approaches to component modeling with the structure of innovation potential of regions based on fuzzy logic methods to achieve the planned indicators of innovation activity are proposed; the theoretical and methodological bases of research of competitiveness of regions and development of priority directions of its increase; terminological apparatus of regional economy complemented by the concept of "region's competitiveness"; methodical principles of comparative analysis of innovation potential and the innovation attractiveness of regions by establishing interconnection between them are improved. Scope of application: in the activities of the Office of Economic Cooperation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine and the Council of Exporters and Investors on the implementation of organizational and economic mechanisms for integration in the innovation sphere of Ukraine and the EU member states, the Lviv Chamber of Commerce and Industry to assess the impact of determinants on the region's innovation activities and developments. the mechanisms of its activation, the Ivano-Frankivsk Chamber of Commerce and Industry to substantiate the proposals to intensify the innovation activities of the subjects of entrepreneurship and improvement of the region's innovative attractiveness in the conditions of European integration, in the educational process of the Zaporizhzhya Institute of Economics and Information Technologies in the preparation of textbooks and scientific and methodological materials on disciplines "International management of innovation activity", "International strategies for economic development", "Global economy".
