Essay

The aim of the study was to find out the pathogenetic features of the disorders of metabolic and immune processes in the dynamics of formation of gastric ulcer and experimental pneumonia and to determine the effect of thiotriazolin on them. It was established that under conditions of gastric ulcer development in combination with experimental pneumonia there is a hyperactivation of lipoperoxidation, proteolysis, humoral immunity, endogenous intoxication, proinflammatory cytokines, stable NO metabolites and total activity of NO-synthases against the background of decreasing activity of antioxidant enzymes, protease inhibitors, the content of L-arginine, interleukin-10, T-lymphocytes, phagocytic activity of leukocytes in the blood and lungs especially in the 10th and 18th days of the experiment against control. Prescription of the drug thiotriazoline has a marked membrane-stimulating and immunomodulating action on disturbed methabolic processes ad immune status of investigated animals under conditions of peptic ulcer formation in association with pneumonia and can be applied in further scientific and research work and in educational process.
