Kotsan R. Formation and functioning of the Soviet-Polish border in 1921-1939.

In the dissertation the conceptual bases of formation and functioning of state borders as political institutions are substantiated, methodological and methodological bases of their research are deepened. The stages of formation and functioning of the Soviet-Polish border during 1921–1939 were identified and characterized, the political features, institutional and legal foundations and functional component of each stage were identified. The attitude of the political elite of interwar Poland to the "Ukrainian issue" and the influence of the Soviet-Polish border on the development of relations between Ukrainians and Poles are analyzed. Positive developments in the functioning of the border between the USSR (USSR) and the PR were identified and extrapolated to the border of modern Ukraine in order to develop recommendations for the transformation of the management of the functional component of the border.
