Object – the process of professional training of future specialists in document management and information documentation in the institutions of higher education; the aim – to theoretically substantiate theoretical and methodological principles of communicative competence forming of future specialists in document management and information documentation during their professional training; to develop the system of communicative competence forming for future specialists in document management and information documentation and experimentally check its efficiency; methods – theoretical, empirical, statistical; novelty – the research is the first to comprehensively analyse the problem of communicative competence forming of future specialists in document management and information documentation within the professional training framework at the methodological level and with reference to a variety of scientific approaches; the system of communicative competence forming for future specialists in document management and information documentation has been developed and scientifically substantiated; the pedagogical conditions providing for the efficiency of the developed system are determined; the definition of the term “the communicative competence forming of future specialists in document management and information documentation” is specified; the structural components of the communicative competence of future specialists in document management and information documentation as well as the criteria, indices and diagnostic tools for determining the level of the given competence development are analysed; the content, forms and methods of communicative competence forming of future specialists in document management and information documentation are investigated; the genesis of the idea of communicative competence forming of future specialists in document management and information documentation in Ukrainian pedagogy serving as the basis for the improvement of training specialists in document management and information documentation is analysed; results – the theoretical ideas and conclusions of the research on communicative competence forming of future specialists in document management and information documentation are scientifically substantiated; the recommendations on the improvement of communicative competence forming of future specialists in document management and information documentation within professional training framework are suggested. The materials of the research will be helpful to lecturers and group mentors whose teaching activities are oriented at the communicative competence forming of future specialists in document management and information documentation. They will be useful to those who are engaged in seminars and course development projects, to those who work at teaching materials, who are engaged in the organization of professional practice for students. They will be useful to students working at course and research projects; field – pedagogy.
