Lavryk O. Valley and river landscape and technical systems of the Right-Bank Ukraine

The dissertation formulates theoretical and methodological principles, methodological positions and obtained practical results that made it possible to reveal an important scientific and applied problem – the functioning of landscape and technical systems (LTCS), which reflect the complex interaction of nature and technology within valley and river landscapes. This is an actual direction of constructive and geographic research, aimed at establishing the peculiarities of the development of complex block systems, which was tested in the dissertation on the example of the model region – the Right-Bank Ukraine. It has been established that the typical landscape and technical system consists of three blocks: natural, technical and managerial. They are united into a single unit with the help of directed flows of matter, energy and information. Depending on the degree of control LTCS passes a number of stages of development (such as «origin», functioning and «destruction»). Each stage corresponds to a certain category of LTCS: engineering and technical building – «origin», landscape and engineering system – functioning, landscape and technogenic system – «destruction». The identification of the LTCS development stage enables the constructive maintenance of the systems in an optimum condition and ensures their long-term functioning.
