Essay

The study conducted at the Kharkiv Regional Clinical Hospital – Emergency and Disaster Medicine Center during 2016-2018 years, observed 383 patients with acute cerebrovascular pathology (CVP): 122 patients with cardiovascular diseases and high risk of developing CVP, 134 patients with transient ischemic attacks in the anamnesis and 127 patients after ischemic stroke, 47 conditionally healthy subjects formed a comparison group. In research participated 252 relatives of patients with CVP, including: 30 family members’ healthy persons; 57 relatives of respondents at risk of developing CVP; 81 family members of patients with clinical signs of CVP; 84 relatives of patients after ischemic stroke. Also, 113 physicians who provided medical help for patients with cerebrovascular diseases examined: therapists – 42, cardiolo-gists – 33, and neuropathologists – 38. In research found sources of distress and peculiarities of patients' psycho-emotional state in relation to stress response; personal and behavioral properties of patients, which determine the features of stress response and adaptation. Analyzed factors associated with lifestyle modification and adherence to therapy. Identified pat-terns of psychosocial functioning in patients with cerebrovascular diseases. In the study investigated psychological status of family patients with CVP. The components and manifestations of professional disadaptation of healthcare professionals in the context of therapeutic interaction with patients with cerebrovascular diseases are characterized. On the ground of complex study phenomenology and mechanisms of psycho-genesis mental disorders in patients with acute cerebrovascular diseases, a holistic model of health-centered lifestyle modification and medico-psychological support af-ter vascular catastrophes has been scientifically substantiated.
