The object of the research is the biopolitical paradigm of political science as a comprehensive program of theoretical standards for setting and solving scientific problems. The purpose of the dissertation is to disclose the current state and perspectives of the development of the biopolitical paradigm of political science. Methods - different types of system analysis (system-structural, system-functional, system-historical), axiomatic and prognostic methods, method of rational reconstruction. Proved that the biopolitical paradigm is the new evolutionary paradigm of political science, which is analyzed and implemented as a complex research strategy, which is a multidimensional complex of separate directions, formed on the basis of basic theories and concepts, united by common ideas and hypotheses, where there is an idea that all political phenomena and processes are evolving: political power takes the form of bio-power; political systems evolve into biopolitical networks, and diplomacy transforms into biodiplomacy. Conceptualized subject area and conceptual apparatus of the biopolitical paradigm of political science. Author definitions of key terms are provided: bio-government, biocentrism and bio-diplomacy. It is stated that the prospects for the development of the biopolitical paradigm of political science are being implemented in four key directions: ecological, globalization, biodiplomatic and biotechnological: within the first, biopolitics was investigated as an international policy for biodiversity protection; the second – the impact of globalization on man, its relation with the concept of bios; the third – it has been studied the biological basis of interethnic conflicts and proposes biodiplomacy as the most effective strategy for their prevention; the fourth – biopolitical consequences of rapid development of biotechnology and genetic engineering are revealed. Sphere - the latest paradigms of political science, research of the biopolitical basis of local self-government and civil society development, introduction of new forms of government and governance (bio-power, network structures) and new model of international relations (biodiplomacy), educational process.
