The dissertation is a comprehensive comparative law study into the specific aspects of the constitutional and legal regulation of the formation and activities of trade unions in Ukraine and in the EU member countries. It places special emphasis on the analysis of the legislation and some theoretical aspects dealing with the constitutional and legal regulation of trade unions in such countries as Ukraine, Poland and Latvia. It also explores and analyses particular aspects relating to the issues in question in the legislation and enforcement practice in Lithuania, Estonia, Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Portugal and the Federal Republic of Germany.
