The dissertation explores the theoretical and methodical basis of the formation of aesthetic culture of the future designers in higher education institutions. The scientific interpretation of aesthetic culture as the social, cultural and personal categories, which have objective and subjective determination and are closely related to the social-historical experience of mastering of the world of beauty, has been carried out. The essence, structure and functions of the aesthetic culture of designers have been clarified and it has been determined that it is in the state of dynamic development, the basis of which is an internal mechanism based on the interconnectedness of its most important components: aesthetic consciousness, aesthetic activity and aesthetic self-organization.
The definition of the aesthetic culture of the designer as a spiritual-functional personality education has been done, which accumulates in itself the experience of learning aesthetic values, awareness of their role and significance in human life, vision of perspective and the need to master reality and art according to the laws of beauty. This personal spiritual and functional formation is designed to be functionally active, capable of establishing a fruitful dialogue with the manifestations of aesthetic, its perception, comprehension and embodiment in practice, as well as provides aesthetic attitude to the surrounding reality and art, their mastery of the laws of beauty in the process of training the future designers in higher education institutions. The designer’s aesthetic culture is a manifestation of their professionalism, ability to use aesthetic experience, knowledge, tools, forms and methods to achieve the design and creative goal, the implementation of the artistic and design project.
Scientific and educational search gave the opportunity to determine and specify the purpose of the study of the state of the formation of aesthetic culture of the future designers in institutions of higher education, which is determined by the levels of formation of the quality and the study of the effectiveness of its formation in future designers, as well as the tasks and content of the study, appropriate methods that allow to fully disclose the state of the formation of aesthetic culture of the future designers in higher education institutions. It was found that in order to successfully study it as a systemic spiritual and functional entity, it was necessary to provide for the consideration of its components as value, active and regulatory. Assessment of the state of the formation of aesthetic culture of the future designers provided the justification for such criteria as value-content, organizational-active and personal-regulatory, which contributed to the definition of high, middle and low levels of the formation of aesthetic culture of the future designers in higher education institutions, determining the causes of its ineffective impact on the development of aesthetic qualities.
The concept and pedagogical system of forming the aesthetic culture of the future designers in higher education institutions have been developed and theoretically substantiated, as well as methodological ways to its development, its purpose, objectives, directions and principles, role and educational opportunities of the higher school in shaping the aesthetic culture of the future designers. the conditions for the successful implementation of the pedagogical system, among which are: actualization of the aesthetic culture of students, the organization of aesthetic education of the future designers, attracting them to the aestheticization of subject-spatial experience of self-organization of aesthetic culture.
In order to implement the pedagogical system of forming the aesthetic culture of the future designers in higher education institutions the structural and functional model of the mentioned process has been created; the comprehensive program of formation of the aesthetic culture of the future designers in the process of educational, scientific, extracurricular and cultural activities has been developed; the system of methods (suggestive, informative, active, creative) of aesthetic and educational impact on students-designers and development of their aesthetic qualities has been proposed.
The results of the experimental justification for the process of forming the aesthetic culture of the future designers in higher education institutions showed positive dynamics of the development of personal spiritual and functional education, the ability of the future designers to establish a fruitful dialogue with the world of beauty in reality and art, confirmed the effectiveness of the conditions for implementing the pedagogical system of forming the aesthetic culture of the future designers, determined the feasibility of broad implementation of the comprehensive program to form the aesthetic culture of the future designers in higher education institutions.
