Essay

The object of study: mechanisms and regularities of individual and joint interactions of medicinal products and their components with model lipid membranes based on model lipid bilayers of hydrated phospholipids. Objective: to reveal the key mechanisms and molecular parameters of individual and joint interactions between components of medіcinal products and model lipid membranes based on hydrated phospholipids. Research methods: differential scanning calorimetry, Fourier-IR spectroscopy, thermogravimetric analysis, optical microscopy, correlation analysis,quantum-chemical simulation, mathematical simulation. Scientific novelty: a new methodology was proposed and actualize allowing one to characterize both qualitative and quantitative joint membranotropic effects by means of differential scanning calorimetry; it was shown for the first time that non-additivity of the joint action of medicinal substances in the order of their administration into the membrane is caused by the superposition of sorption and diffusion processes. Practical value: application to the understanding of membrane functioning and interactions with substances of various chemical structures and also could be used at various stages of development of pharmaceutical products.
