Andrusiak N. Ecological and economic competitiveness of regions in the context of globalization: theory and methodology

The dissertation introduces generalization of the existing theoretical concepts and approaches, which allowed making a significant complement to the conceptual and categorical apparatus of ecological and economic competitiveness of the regions. The research introduces interpretation of ecological and economic competitiveness as a complex, dynamic, integrated system-forming property of the economic system, which takes into account ecological peculiarities of the region and is connected with the development of markets, industries, activation of innovation and investment processes and formation of ecological and economic competitive prospects. The study presents approaches to defining the concept of "strategy of ecological and economic competitiveness of the region" which is defined as a form of structuring the target space of the region based on the complex of perceptions of the state and regions, business entities and local community about the desired state, directions and results of development of ecological and economic system at the meso-level.
