Maslova N. Criminal radicalism: phenomenon, determination, counteraction

The dissertation is the first research in Ukraine, where the author has comprehensively analyzed the problems of formation of criminological principles of the organization and counteracting criminal radicalism and has formulated the own vision of the ways of their solution by using modern methods of cognition, taking into account the latest achievements of legal science. Paradigmatic ideas about radicalism have been formulated. Scientific approaches to criminological analysis of criminal radicalism have been analyzed. Its place in the conceptual and categorical apparatus of modern criminology has been determined. Typologization of criminal radicalism has been carried out. The problem of determination in the context of postmodern discourse has been studied. The system of determinants of criminal radicalism has been formed. The description of the socio-economic, political and legal background of criminal radicalism has been identified and provided. Radicalism in the structure of individual consciousness of personality has been considered. The concept and place of the strategy in the system of counteraction to criminal radicalism have been defined. The author has provided characteristics of the world models of strategies for counteracting criminal radicalism. The parameters of the national strategy for combating criminal radicalism have been identified and researched. The concept and system of measures for counteraction to criminal radicalism have been analyzed. The author has studied special and criminological prevention; and has researched individual prevention of criminal radicalism.
