The thesis presented is aimed at resolving the problem of a systematic target research of sources of biologically active substances (BAS) of the species of genera Crataegus L., Cerasus Juss., Prunus L., Malus Mill. of subfamily Amygdaloideae family RosaceaeL. and creation of medical remedies based on them. А complex morphological and taxonomic study of 99 and chemotaxonomic study of 54 species of the genera Crataegus L., Cerasus Juss., Malus Mill., Prunus L. has been carried out. A pharmacognostic study of 10 species of the genus Hawthorn has been carried out. 13 original substances were obtained for which the chemical composition was determined, standardization parameters were established and pharmacological activity was detected. Drafts of quality control methods for the raw materials and substances have been developed.
