Object: monitoring of enterprise activities within the strategic management system. Objective: research and development of methodological principles of monitoring an enterprise’s activity and recommendations for enhancing information-analytical provision of strategic management in order to make and implement efficient managerial decisions. Methods of research: the dialectical method of scientific cognition, the system approach, production system theories, operations research, the analogue method, the comparison method, functional modeling, system and critical analysis, comparative analysis methods, methods of functional-cost and economic-statistical analysis, index methods, graph theory methods, economic-mathematical methods, the deduction method, morphological analysis, the graphical method. The following issues have been suggested: for the first time: a conceptual model has been built for monitoring activities of an enterprise to provide efficient strategic management. The model considers and integrates such phenomena as the process of continuous monitoring of an enterprise’s production activity, formation of the management database, monitoring of the course and character of strategic plans implementation and changes, measurement of deviations of actual activity indicator values from target strategic development values on the basis of the criteria (standard) system; methods have been developed to measure quality, rationality, efficiency of enterprise economic strategy considering the mechanism of monitoring implementation in the strategic management system. The methods correspond to management efficiency and economic stability of an enterprise; the cost-target approach has been introduced in forming the system of enterprise activity monitoring. The approach is based on indicators characterizing economic activity of an enterprise and enables assessing influence of internal and external disturbances on its condition; the methods of economic data movement at Kryvyi Rih mining enterprises have been developed on the basis of the functional model that considers specific features of the information-analytical system of the mining enterprises and enables determining its interconnection with internal and external data flows of the production system; the methodological approach to forecasting competitiveness on the basis of discrete time series identification has been suggested. This enables determining forecast values of factors influencing competitiveness of an enterprise; the following issues have been enhanced: the conceptual framework of enterprise activity monitoring; methodological approaches to forming subjective-active monitoring in terms of assessing the condition of an enterprise which are focused on development of information-analytical support of strategic managerial decision-making modified in accordance with specific features of the industry and consider synergic effects; the methodological approach to economic-statistical analysis of enterprise activity which considers indicators of structural transformations of production. This facilitates determining the efficient resource-consuming structure of activities; the system of economic-analytical indicators to assess enterprise activity which considers functional, process, system approaches. This enables complex provision of consistent, balanced, harmonious development of the production system and facilitate economic stability measurement; the following issues have received further development: the system of monitoring establishment which is an information-analytical component of strategic management and includes formal, meaningful and target information. The system is a toolkit for measuring economic potential of mining enterprises; methods of economic-statistical analysis of enterprise activities which are suggested as components of management (functional, process, system approaches) in developing strategy. The methods provide formation, choice, substantiation and implementation of strategic decisions at an enterprise; the methodological approach to assessing the organizational structure of management from the consistency viewpoint. The approach is one of the components of efficient managerial decision-making and comprises the system of analytical indicators of structural links efficiency in the organizational structure itself; the system of measures to provide strategic management of mining enterprises’ development which considers technological stages of processing and concentrating iron ore at different production complexes integrally, the e-document flow system.
