Theoretical analysis, conceptualization and empirical study of the problem of personality development of an academically capable primary school student are carried out in the work. The scientific novelty and theoretical significance of scientific work are determined, which consist in the fact that: - for the first time the phenomenon of personality development of an academically capable primary school student is conceptualized taking into account activity, socio-psychological and internal-psychological resources and connection of academic, cognitive and metacognitive abilities that determine academic success; - for the first time the types of academic abilities of primary school students were determined depending on the level of academic achievement; - for the first time the system of activity, social-psychological and internal-psychological resources of development of the personality of primary school student is defined; - for the first time the connections of academic abilities with cognitive (emotional, social and spiritual intelligence) and metacognitive (metacognitive awareness and implicit theories of intelligence) abilities of primary school students are determined; - the idea of the academic abilities of a primary school student is expanded, the components of which are the qualities of intelligence and creativity, which are determined by academic motivation and influence on the general and partial academic success; - expanded the idea of personal harmony as a result of full personal development of primary school students; - improved means of psychodiagnostics of psychological resources of personal development of an academically capable primary school student; - the means of developing the harmony of the personality of an academically capable primary school student have been improved. As a result of theoretical analysis of the problem of personality development of an academically capable student, it was shown that the giftedness of a primary school student is a systemic mental quality, represented by a set of academic abilities that ensure high academic performance. The problem of personality development of an academically capable student as a carrier of the system of academic abilities is conceptualized, which explains the phenomena of "academic abilities", "psychological resources of personality development of an academically capable student", "harmony of personality of an academically capable student" and "potential of his life success". The content of the actual academic abilities includes a high level of development of cognitive abilities, which are influenced by learning motivation. The main provisions of the concept define the connection of academic abilities with metacognitive and socio-psychological abilities, synergy of mutual influences of students' abilities with activity, socio-psychological and intrapersonal resources of personality development, determinism of personal harmony of academically capable student, combining the harmony of its development with a high level of academic success, determined by socio-psychological, metacognitive and academic abilities. As a result of the observational experiment, it was determined that the structure of academic abilities at the beginning of primary school is characterized by greater branching and strength of connections, but later this trend loses significance. It is determined that successful students have higher indicators of the basic components of intelligence, creativity, academic motivation. Manifestations of socio-cognitive (emotional and social intelligence, moral abilities) and metacognitive abilities (metacognitive awareness, implicit theories of intelligence) are analyzed, their high significance in the formation of academic abilities of primary school students is shown. It is proved that such intra-personal resources as the ability to create life and productive schemes- regimes of response in life situations are positively correlated with the signs of personal harmony of academically successful students. As a result of the introduction of the program of psychological support of academically capable primary school students it is proved that intra-personal and socio-psychological resources of harmonization of personality of academically capable primary school student are life-creating abilities and functional scheme-regimes.
