For the stage of preliminary designing of МТА modifications, a new methodology for the formation of МТА parameters was developed and tested, the structure of which is formed by new concepts, methods and models: the concept of the ellipticity coefficient of the trapezoidal wing and the method for its determination; the method of geometric rearrangement of an isolated trapezoidal wing, taking into account the coefficient of its ellipticity; a method for refining the layout of the system of bearing surfaces “wing + tail units” taking into account the geometric rearrangement of the wing. As a criterion base, the structure of the methodology includes models: minimizing the inductive resistance of the wing and the entire system of bearing surfaces; coordination of modification changes in the wing and power plant based on the fuel efficiency indicator. Based on these methods and models, at the preliminary design stage, parameters were generated and implemented in such modifications as An-132D, An-178 and An-188, which ensures this aircraft competitiveness in world markets.
