Gatalska N. Theoretical and methodological aspects of the formation of the aesthetics of the park environment

In the dissertation we substantiated the methodological bases of estimation of aesthetics of a park landscape. The emphasis is placed on the study of the conceptual structure and the study of the actual research paradigms in the assessment of the park environment, which is considered as the constant interaction of human society and the subject-spatial environment. We have systematized the available scientific information on theoretical and methodological approaches, theories and paradigms of estimation of the aesthetic qualities of the park landscape, which is based on spheres of human perception of the subject-spatial environment, and it has allowed to deepen knowledge about aesthetic perception of the park environment and to determine its regularities. According to the results of the research complex, the scientific concept was substantiated, the concept-terminology apparatus was expanded, the methodology of research and formation of the aesthetics of the park environment based on experimental data, the provisions of information theory, landscape-compositional, functional, normative, as well as phenomenological approaches, which allowed disclosing laws of the influence of the socio-cultural factor on the transformation of the compositional structure of the park environment (on the material and figurative levels), as well as to identify the features of its influence on aesthetic perception and the formation of aesthetic preferences. The resultant stage of the research was the concept of designing park objects in accordance with their main function, within which the park environment is considered as a material carrier of potentially laid information, which has certain aesthetic qualities that affect the psychophysiological and emotional state of man.
