As a result of conducted theoretical-methodological analysis, relying on researches in the field of aesthetics, philosophy, psychology, pedagogy, the essence and the structure of aesthetic culture of the future teachers of Ukrainian language and literature have been specified. The conducted historical-theoretical analysis has led to the scientific determination of the content of the aesthetic culture of the future teachers of Ukrainian language and literature as a set of formed aesthetic tastes, views, ideals, and fundamental orientation in the diversity of aesthetic categories, cultural dominants of the modern world, based on knowledge, abilities of cognitive and creative nature, social skills, outlook, and in the system are the grounds for solving public professional, personal problems. It is proved that the integral components of the aesthetic culture of the future teachers of Ukrainian language and literature are value-motivational, cognitive-linguocultural, activity-creative, personal-developmental components. The scientific-pedagogical search made it possible to identify and specify the content of the study of the state of formation of aesthetic culture of the future teachers of Ukrainian language and literature, which consisted in defining this phenomenon as a broad sphere of professional knowledge, linguistic culture, managing aesthetic categories, managing one’s own cognitive and aesthetic practical activity, that determines the readiness for professional activity and further aesthetic development, self-development, self-education, creative self-realization. In order to study the main parameters that characterize the aesthetic culture of the future teachers of Ukrainian language and literature, the criteria, indicators and levels of its formation have been specified. According to the peculiarities of each component of the aesthetic culture of the future teachers of Ukrainian language and literature, the motivational, gnostic, praxeological, and personal criteria have been distinguished. According to the content, the purpose has been characterized and the task of research of the formation of the aesthetic culture of the future teacher of Ukrainian language and literature has been defined, which consisted in determining the levels of formation of the aesthetic culture of the future teachers of Ukrainian language and literature and its compliance with modern social requirements; in the study and analysis of peculiarities of formation of aesthetic culture of the future teachers of Ukrainian language and literature in the process of vocational training in higher education institutions. The realization of the pedagogical system of formation of aesthetic culture of the future teachers of Ukrainian language and literature in the course of vocational training was facilitated by the following conditions: creation of positive motivation for aesthetic activity; improving the content of vocational training on the basis of interdisciplinary integration, filling it with cross-cultural and linguo-cultural content; self-realization of the future teachers of Ukrainian language and literature in the aesthetic environment of the institutions of higher education; development of educational and methodological support for the process of vocational training of the future teachers of Ukrainian language and literature. In a practical plane, the method of phased formation of aesthetic culture has been developed, which is based on the complex use of a set of certain conditions and aims to improve and integrate into a single didactic whole forms, methods, technologies and teaching aids. The effectiveness of the developed and implemented pedagogical system of formation of aesthetic culture of the future teachers of Ukrainian language and literature in the process of vocational training has been verified experimentally, which was confirmed by the results of the experimental study.
