Theoretical and methodological principles of research of the value of an insurance company have been systematized and substantiated in the thesis. The motive forces of its formation are distinguished. The necessity of introduction of value-based management into domestic insurance practice is substantiated. Methodical approaches to the valuation of the insurance company have been developed. The ways of adaptation of individual evaluation models to the specifics of its activity are revealed.
