Kokoryev O. Compliance of the post-Soviet Baltic States with the EU standards: the institutional and value perspectives

The object is the Baltic states (Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania) in the post-integration period (2004-2020); goal - to assess the compliance of the Baltic States with the requirements of EU membership at the institutional and value levels at the post-integration stage (2004-2020); methods - comparative, neo-institutional, historical; novelty - the main causes of stagnation of liberal democratization in the Baltic States are identified, the content of the processes of stagnation of liberal democracy in the Baltic States is characterized, the peculiarities of practical implementation of the principle of gender equality in Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania with emphasis on existing institutional and value barriers with the exception of a strong gap in the amount of salaries and pensions), the characteristics of the Baltic States are compared according to the principle of tolerance; results - the provisions and conclusions of the study can be used in the educational process in the preparation of lectures, textbooks in political science disciplines, training courses on social policy, as well as in the practice of policy actors.
