Essay

In the dissertation, the historical-retrospective analysis of outstanding teachers’ views on the professional and personal abilities of primary school teachers is carried out. Foreign experience on the formation of competencies of the XXI century is analyzed. The author’s concept of the didactic system of basic competencies formation in pre-service primary school teachers is substantiated. Didactic approaches to the formation of basic competencies of students are outlined. The basic competencies of pre-service teachers of primary school have been singled out. An innovative model of the didactic system of formation of basic competencies in pre-service primary school teachers has been developed. Four groups of criteria for the formation of basic competencies of pre-service primary school teachers are identified: constructive pedagogical interaction; formation of gamification skills; ability to develop early professional interests; ability to map out the future. The efficiency of the didactic system of formation of basic competencies of pre-service primary school teachers has been proved on the basis of the experimental verification.
