The thesis justifies theoretical, methodological and methodical principles of developing professional-pedagogical competency in lecturers of professional disciplines from technical universities. It defines the concept of professional-pedagogical competency of professional disciplines lecturers from technical universities as a complex, integrative, professional and personal quality, which characterizes the set of axiological-motivational resources, the system of socially and professionally important qualities and abilities, the range of psychological, pedagogical and subject knowledge, professional abilities and skills, the experience of communication and self-knowledge which ensure effective implementation of professional-pedagogical activities and further self-development.
