Essay

The dissertation is devoted to psychological bases of schoolchildren’ economic socialization. Theoretical and methodological analysis of the problem of schoolchildren’ economic socialization is carried out. The content, structure, features of this process in the period from junior to senior school age are revealed. The author's research conception of psychological structure, mechanisms and factors of the process of personality’s economic socialization in the period from junior to senior school age is substantiated. A structural-target model of schoolchildren’ economic socialization has been developed, according to which agents of this process can purposefully set the direction of the system of socializing influences, orienting them to the formation of schoolchildren's personal qualities that provide them with harmonious entry into market economic relationships. The target nature of the schoolchildren’ economic socialization is given by its ideal result, which is the personality’s economic culture. The main characteristic of this culture is entrepreneurship in a market economy. This culture was shown as a phenomenon, which is forming in the space of personal property in an educational space of school. The results of empirical research of psychological structure, mechanisms and ontogenetic regularities of schoolchildren’ economic socialization in the space of personal property relationships at different stages of education in general secondary education were analyzed. The age patterns of changes in the system of pupils' attitudes to personal property as an indicator of their economic culture development are analyzed. The peculiarities of the influence of individual psychological, socio-psychological and intrasystemic factors on the attitudes to personal property as an indicator of schoolchildren’ economic socialization at different stages of education in general secondary education were clarified. The system of psychological support of the process of schoolchildren’ economic socialization in the institution of general secondary education was developed by the author. The purpose, tasks, structure were covered in this work, separate socializing practices were developed and presented. Their effectiveness has been experimentally proven.
