Object – professional training of Civil Defense Service specialists; the purpose of the research is to substantiate the theoretical and methodological principles of training future specialists of the Civil Defense Service for self-preservation in professional activities, development and experimental verification of scientific and methodological system of training future specialists of the Civil Protection Service for self-preservation in professional activities; methods – theoretical (analysis, synthesis, comparison, systematization, generalization of literary sources of psychological, pedagogical, philosophical direction), empirical (observation, questionnaires, surveys, conversations, analysis of pedagogical documentation, expert evaluation, pedagogical experiment), methods of mathematical statistics (Student's t-test, Pearson's chi-squared test); novelty – substantiated the concept and developed a scientific and methodological system of training future specialists of the Civil Defense Service for self-preservation in professional activities as a unity of interdependent elements, covered by causation and coordination; a model of this system is built, which covers the conceptual-target, organizational-semantic, procedural-technological, analytical-effective subsystem; the pedagogical conditions of realization of scientific and methodical system of preparation of future specialists of Civil Defense Service for self-preservation in professional activity (formation of positive attitude of future specialists of Civil Defense Service to the problem of self-preservation in professional activity; updating the content and practice of training use of the latest pedagogical tools in the training of future specialists of the Civil Defense Service for self-preservation in professional activities); stages of preparation of future specialists of the Civil Defense Service for self-preservation in professional activity (motivational-target, active-activity, evaluation-analytical) are developed; results – introduction of scientific and methodical system of preparation of future specialists of Civil Defense Service to self-preservation in professional activity and approbation of educational and methodical maintenance of its realization.
