Essay

The dissertation is devoted to the problem of improving the quality of professional training of future engineers - teachers by theoretical substantiation, development and experimental verification of the system of monitoring the formation of their professional competence in institutions of higher engineering and pedagogical education. Within the framework of the study, a monitoring concept, in which methodological approaches to monitoring the professional competence formation of future teaching engineers in higher education institutions have been determined, has been theoretically substantiated and developed; the theoretical and methodological foundations of monitoring have been substantiated; methodological substantiation of approaches to determining the research criterion apparatus and development of monitoring tools for its diagnosis has been given, as well as the conceptual model for monitoring the formation professional competence of future teaching engineers, which provides and ensures the unity and consistency of goals, objectives, methodological approaches, principles, criteria, and indicators for evaluating the results and the process of forming the professional competence of future teaching engineers, monitoring stages, has been substantiated. Taking into account the provisions of the concept and monitoring model, an organizational and methodological system for monitoring the professional competence formation of future teaching engineers has been developed. This system accumulates all information flows and combines all the resources of the information environment of a higher education institution and reorients the entire process of education quality management to a new technological level, thereby forming an innovative organizational structure of an engineering and pedagogical institution of higher education.
