Object of research - Features of growth, development, water consumption, yield and quality of cereals and legumes depending on agronomic measures and weather conditions in the years of research. The purpose of research is to develop and improve technological measures for growing high and high quality crops of cereals and legumes on non-irrigated and irrigated lands of the Steppe of Ukraine, taking into account the peculiarities of their growth and development, establishing patterns of productivity depending on weather conditions and -active radiation and moisture, increasing economic efficiency and environmental safety of grain production. Research methods - field and laboratory; mathematical and statistical; settlement and comparative. Research results - For theory: For the first time, the theoretical provisions and practical recommendations for increasing the productivity of cereals and legumes for their cultivation on irrigated and non-irrigated lands of the Steppe of Ukraine are comprehensively substantiated. The effectiveness of the use of biological products for the cultivation of different genetic potential of spring barley varieties has been established. The levels of soybean productivity for its cultivation on non-irrigated lands have been studied. The influence of different sowing dates, seeding rates and plant protection on the productivity of winter wheat varieties of domestic selection has been established. For practice: Developed and recommended for production new and improved technological measures for growing winter wheat, winter and spring barley, soybeans, corn, peas and sorghum with a scientific basis for the choice of varietal composition, optimization of tillage systems, fertilizers and plant protection. Scope - agricultural enterprises of the southern region of Ukraine.
