Essay

The aim of the study was to develop and implement set of measures for preventing local and systemic venous complications, improving the safety and effectiveness of open minimally invasive surgical treatment of primary, progressive varicose veins of the lower extremities, perineum, inguinal canal and external genitalia in pregnant women. The proposed multidisciplinary program "Fast Track Surgery" allowed to ensure in 89.29% of cases of natural childbirth without bleeding and reduce the number of thrombotic complications by 2 times. According to the results of the surgical treatment it was possible to reduce the severity of clinical manifestations on the VCSS scale by 2.26 times (p˂0.001), on the VSD scale by 1.34 times (p˂0.05), the level of pain on the VAS scale by 1.71 times (p˂0.05). Assessment of quality of life after surgery revealed an excellent result in 87% of pregnant women and an improvement of 2.56 times (p˂0.001) of all criteria on the CIVIQ-20 scale.
