Essay

Analysis and systematization of the latest theories, methods, approaches in the field of substandard language research, its origin, constituents, functioning are presented in the scientific work. It is noted that internal and external factors of changes in the language function interlinked, with borrowing factors having the most common spill, and direct changes in language determine internal factors. The dissertation work considers the research concepts and the functioning features of substandard lexis in particular argo, jargon, slang, surzhik, territorial dialects in modern linguistics. Journalistic texts have become an object of scientific interest as they are the experimental ground for the explication of linguistic phenomena, violation of linguistic traditions and norms, diffusion and the establishment of new lexical and stylistic norms. It is noted that views of linguists of the concept «language norm» are contradictory and are characterized by such signs: sustainability, stability, distribution, obligation, literary tradition, authoritativeness of sources of her establishment, cultural and esthetic perception, estimation, habitualness of usage, possibility of conscious intervention in her development, continuous evolution, internal continuous change of her essence. It has been proved that the existence of a literary norm is influenced by various trends, one of which is the awareness of its binding against the background of modern processes of decay of the norm and diffusion. In addition, it is noted that a significant influence on the language norm has a liberal relation to innovations in the field of literary norm, as well as the chaotic use of language rules, which is often a conscious violation of the language norm to draw attention to what has been expressed, and an unconscious violation of the literary norm due to ignorance of this norm.
