Essay

Theoretical generalization is carried out and solutions to the relevant scientific problem of research competence development of future specialists in agroengineering in the process of studying agricultural disciplines in institutions of higher education are provided in the dissertation. The main provisions of national and international standards of training specialists in agroengineering and professional regulations on the nature and content of the research competence are generalized. The essence of the conceptual and categorical apparatus of research is specified, namely the content of concepts «methodical system of training», «methodical system of research competence development», «research competence», «research competence of specialist in agroengineering», «research activity». The structure of research competence of specialist in agroengineering is defined as the relationship of four components – cognitive, activity-oriented, motivational-value and personality-reflexive; the criteria and indicators and levels of research competence formation are clarified. The method of research competence development of future specialists in agroengineering in the process of studying «Agricultural machinery» in institutions of higher education is presented and its efficiency in the process of pedagogical experiment is experimentally checked. It is implemented on the lecture-seminar training system in natural combination of training process with training and research students’ activity within the classroom and extracurricular activities.
