Essay

The thesis analyses the textual and discursive aspects of the New Testament's conceptual framework within the cognitive paradigm of modern linguistics. The method of cognitive analysis of the text developed, theoretically justified and tested in the thesis allowed us to obtain the following results. For the first time in Ukrainian Studies, the processes of conceptualization, which are based on internal structural mechanisms of textual system modeling, have become a scope of study. The new research object determined the use of relevant methods of analysis, and therefore the work applies methods aimed at a comprehensive study of conceptual systems: general scientific methods, linguistic text description methods and methods of cognitive text structures modeling. Their usage made it possible to present a fairly complete and objective picture of the interpretation of these processes in line with integral-cognitive and textual-discursive approaches. The theoretical basis of constructing conceptual text models are defined and methodological bases for their analysis are developed. A comprehensive study of the processes of concept formation gave rise to the identification and systematic justification of a separate section of linguoconceptual research – a conceptography of non-random texts. A new concept of «non-random text» is introduced, which is determined by a certain set of parameters that position the text not as a set of random components, but as an informational and structural unity, a systemically and functionally complete verbal unity. It is for a class of non-random texts that it is possible to create universal schemes, the application of which leads to a conceptographic description of these texts, that is, the construction of corresponding systems of concepts together with their interpretations. The linguistic embodiment of concepts is based on such cognitive categories as keywords (semantic invariants), conceptual field, conceptual feature, and conceptual model used as a means of describing them.
