Essay

The stress resistance of the personality in the thesis is considered as a personal system-integrative property providing predictability of biopsychological reactions to stress; optimization of sociocultural and organizational-behavioral strategies for dealing with complex and emergency situations; identification of value-based transformations of post-emergency consequences. A system model and matrix of integral development of the stress resistance of the personality have been developed. The components of the stress resistance of the personality are figured out: psychophysiological, emotionally communicative, cognitive, value-free. The stress resistance of the personality development is determined by the individual reaction to stress, personal characteristics, and the conditions of the sociocultural environment. The conceptual bases of integral development of the stress resistance of the personality have been defined. The author’s methods and programs of integral development of the stress resistance of the personality are offered. The application efficiency of integral development of the stress resistance of the personality program has been proved. The integral development of the stress resistance of the personality is a gradual qualitative and quantitative change in the components of individual stress resistance; their diagnosis is more reliable under conditions of differentiated treatment. The criteria for assessing the development of the stress resistance of the personality are: biopsychological, sociocultural, organizational-behavioral. The essence of mechanisms ensuring stress resistance at each ontological level of personality development is disclosed. The psycho technical and educational content of the psycho-pedagogical program for the development of the stress resistance of the personality has been improved; diagnostic and evaluation-criteria monitoring of indicators of the development of personality stress tolerance has been improved. To deepen the understanding of the content of the integrative approach in the psychotherapeutic and educational-professional practice of psychological training of law enforcement officials and psychologists. The proposed concept of integral development of the stress resistance of the personality reflects an effective algorithm of actions in carrying out psychopreventive and psychotherapeutic work.
