Essay

The study presents the theoretical and methodological justification of the concept, methodological system of teaching specialized military courses, technology of its implementation and pedagogical conditions for the development of specialized military competence in would-be masters of military and social management, as well as the results of experimental testing of the pedagogical conditions effectiveness in higher military education establishment. The essence, structure and content of specialized military competence in would-be masters of military and social management are revealed. It was found that this is a specialized military educability and ability to use professional potential (system of knowledge, skills and abilities), professional thinking, moral and combat qualities, professional and ethical values. The mastering of these qualities will ensure the completing of two goals. They are the ensuring of moral and psychological support of the troops (forces) and self-improvement and self-realization in the process of professional activity. The basis of the research concept is organized specialized military courses training for would-be military and social management masters determined by personal, social and professional development of the student in order to improve professional knowledge, skills and moral and combat qualities devoted to developing the creative level of specialized military competence. The methodological level determines the need to teach specialized military courses for would-be masters of military and social management on the basis of competence, system and personality-oriented, as well as general didactic principles (scientific, systematic and consistent, clarity, unity of educational, developmental and educational functions of higher education and specific combat readiness, unity of theory and practice, taking into account educational needs and requirements, constructive training). The theoretical level is based on the basic principles of specialized military management, historical education, interpersonal communication, theories of the information society and active learning. The technological level characterizes the technology of implementation of training of specialized military courses methodical system of would-be masters of military and social management. The methodical system of teaching specialized military courses for would-be masters of military and social management is a subsystem of the educational process and it is a holistic, multi-component formation education, which is based on the unity of pedagogical, psychological, social and cultural spheres, in which the mental activity of the subject becomes a factor of its development and covers the integrated interdependent systemic links of the learning environment of its main elements (students educational and cognitive activities, teaching by research and teaching staff, the purpose and content of training specialized military courses, methods, tools and organizational forms of training, as well as the diagnosis of specialized military competence). The methodical system of teaching specialized military courses for would-be masters of military and social management structurally covers theoretical-methodological, technological-semantic, methodical-practical and effective blocks. Pedagogical conditions for the development of their specialized military competence activate and ensure the functioning of the methodical system of training would-be masters of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. They are informatization of training specialized military courses for would-be masters of the Armed Forces of Ukraine; psychological and pedagogical support for the training specialized military courses; creating a learning environment through the introduction of innovative forms and methods of classroom and extracurricular learning; involvement of students in research activities. According to the technology at the first «basic» stage (1 year 1 semester) for strengthening of students’ adaptation to educational and cognitive activity and studying of bases of training of specialized military courses in classroom and extracurricular time. Then, at the second «military special training» stage (1 year 2 semester and 2 year 1 semester) there was a mastery of professional roles in the process of studying specialized military courses. After that, at the third «approbation» stage (2 year 2 semester) it is focused on development skills in moral and psychological support of troops (forces) during project development, war games, military training, masterʼs thesis development and final certification. The pilot testing results of the concept and effectiveness of the methodological system of teaching specialized military training, as well as its implementation technology and pedagogical conditions for the development of specialized military competence of would-be masters of military and social management proved the hypothesis.
