The purpose of the dissertation is to systematize the theoretical, methodological principles for the formation, evaluation and improvement of strategies for the development of the construction sector of the national economy in terms of sustainable development. The object of research is the processes of forming, evaluating and improving the effectiveness of strategies for the development of the construction sector of the national economy in terms of sustainable development. The subject of the study is a set of theoretical, methodological, conceptual, practical recommendations for the formation, evaluation and improvement of strategies for the development of the construction sector of the national economy in terms of sustainable development. The methodological basis of the study is represented by methods of generalization, structural and logical analysis, historiography and systematization, analysis and synthesis, comparison, integrated approach, index and scenario methods, trend analysis, forecasting. The scientific novelty of the obtained results is as follows. Theoretical and conceptual provisions for the formation and study of strategies for the development of the construction sector of the national economy have been developed; the conceptual vision on the development of the methodology for evaluating the effectiveness of development strategies is substantiated; developed a scientific and methodological approach to assessing the effectiveness of development strategies of the construction sector of the national economy, substantiated scientific and methodological approach to assessing the state and trends of the construction sector.
